Music Monday!

I am very bad at finding new music. I have been listening to the same albums for a couple of months now and I can’t seem to move on from them. It’s been a while since I updated my iPod, so I rely heavily on Spotify.

Spotify has created the best playlists for every mood I’m feeling. I began searching through them for new music. I spend most of my time looking through the Mood & Chill playlists where there’s even more options to choose from.
When I’m blogging, I like to listen to the Deep Focus playlist. Every song is instrumental, which gives me the chance to write and listen without getting distracted. I’ve also listened to Sunday Lounge that brings a nice relaxing sound into the room and sometimes helps me fall asleep at night.

But returning back to my first thought, there are a few great albums I’ve been listening for the past couple of months.

Lea Michele’s Louder album has been such a great album to listen to on the train ride home or walking through the city. Her voice reminds me a lot of Demi’s which is a plus in my book. Most of her songs are pop and upbeat like “On My Way” and “Cannonball,” but then other songs give me with goosebumps like “Battlefield” and “If You Say So.”

I haven’t heard the whole album, but from “Drunk In Love” to “Partition.” I’m constantly putting her songs on repeat. I will forever love Beyonce songs. I will continued to sing (like Beyonce) and dance to her music. I spent the whole semester playing “Partition” and trying to learn the lyrics – still learning.

Another good one is Ariana Grande’s Yours Truly album. Boy, does she have a voice on her! I remember seeing her perform cover songs and now she has her own album which is filled of many amazing songs like “Honeymoon Avenue” and “Tattooed Heart” that shows off her vocal range well.

Miley Cyrus’ Bangerz is another good album to jam to. There’s a mixed of songs that I can’t quite explain. Songs like “Do My Thang” and “Adore You” are my favorite. Some songs she decides to sing, while others show her rapping side which is oddly cool coming from Miley.

Okay I caved! I can’t stop listening to the Midnight Memories album by One Direction the most. It’s just something about five young lads singing about love that gets me going. (This is the girl that fangirl’d over three boys from New Jersey.) There songs are just fun and easy to listen to. Plus I have a thing for Harry Styles. I recommend “Does He Know?” and “Little White Lie” to listen to.

So here are just a few albums I’ve been listening to. Guilty pleasures if you will for the summer.

Happy Memorial Day!

Until then.
